WordPress care and training

Keep your WordPress site out of trouble

Planned, senior WordPress care and training for organisations whose website matters. We look after a small number of sites properly, so problems are prevented instead of fixed in a hurry.

Three ways we help

WordPress care

A monthly care plan with a fixed maintenance window, scheduled time for your requests, monitoring, backups and a written report. One senior person who knows your site.

From £450 a month

Care plans

Team training

Live online workshops that get your editors confident with your own site, plus a written guide and a recording for the next person who joins.

Workshops from £650

Training

WordPress audit

A fixed-price review of your site’s health, security, performance, hosting and editing set-up. A written report, a call to go through it, and a clear list of what to do next.

Prevention instead of firefighting

Most WordPress emergencies are slow problems that nobody was watching: updates skipped, plugins piling up, a host quietly retiring an old version of PHP. A well-looked-after site rarely needs rescuing.

So we work to a plan. Each client has a regular work cycle, so you know when maintenance happens, when your requests will be done and what it costs.

How we work

  • One senior person who knows your site. No ticket queue, no explaining things twice.
  • A monthly maintenance window. Updates tested and applied, backups checked, security reviewed.
  • Requests scheduled, not lost. Acknowledged within two working days and planned into your next cycle. Urgent requests jump the queue.
  • A written report every month. What was done, what we noticed, what’s coming up.
  • Teams that can help themselves. Training and a help centre mean fewer small requests and more confident editors.

Who we work with

Organisations with an in-house marketing or communications team and a WordPress site that matters to them: membership, bookings, donations, ecommerce, or simply reputation.

Charities, membership organisations and associations, education, professional services and manufacturers. Some have been with us for many years.

Building a new website? New sites are designed and project-managed by our partners at Open Design Agency, with Watch the Dot doing the technical build. When it launches, we look after it.

Not a fit if you need someone on call, a reply within the hour, or the cheapest option. We’d rather say so now.

What clients say

The service is personalised and tailored to my needs, unlike the big box catch-all providers. They understand how to turn layman ideas into reality on the web.

Jono Cary, care client

He used language that I could understand and I learnt a lot without feeling overwhelmed. Because of his great communication skills and his professionalism I decided to move my hosting to him as well.

Wendela Elsen, training client

Always a pleasure to deal with Christian. Knowledgeable and helpful and gets great results.

Not sure where to start?

Most new clients start with a WordPress audit: a fixed-price review of your site’s health, security, hosting and editing set-up, with a written report and a call to talk it through. If we go on to work together, the cost counts towards your first three months.
